Inflatable plastic sheeting
Chavez Plaza
June 7, 2008

ice age is a ephemeral monument and performative sculpture, to be built in downtown San Jose? during the week of the ZER01 festival and de- ployed in Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park on Saturday night, June 7 2008. It is a 25-foot-tall inflatable iceberg, to be fabricated from semitransparent plastic sheeting and inflated with high-CFM blowers, which will occupy the entire 960-square-foot stage and rise slightly above the treeline of the park, brightly lit and clearly visible to automobile and pedestrian traffic throughout the downtown area.
